The Brahmaputra River basin, including rivers from Arunachal to Assam, faces frequent floods. Efforts to develop hydro power projects in Arunachal Pradesh aim to tackle floods and boost water availability. However, India has only tapped a fraction of its hydropower potential, especially in Arunachal Pradesh. Urgent action is needed to address water storage and hydroelectricity generation on a national scale. Despite the benefits, bureaucratic delays hinder progress. Prioritizing these projects is vital for flood management and water security, benefiting both Arunachal Pradesh and the nation.
