The Maritime Research Centre (MRC), Pune and M/S NirDhwani Technology Pvt Ltd in partnership with the Indo-Swiss Centre of Excellence (ISCE), proposes to organize a webinar titled “Acoustic Survey: A Critical Skill for Progressing Effective Blue Economy Growth in theIndian Ocean Region (IOR)”, on 22 Dec 2021, for executives from the stakeholders and also students and faculty from the Academia. The webinar will be a multi-disciplinary, multiorganizational and multi-functional interactive opportunity, to expose the participants to multiple aspects of the acoustic survey and attempt to evolve a strategic framework. The participants will interact with their counterparts among the stakeholders, policy makers and practitioners. The seminar will not only expose them to the critical opportunities and concerns in the UDA framework, but also facilitate exchange of ideas and synergising of efforts. The review of existing means and measures to address the acoustic skilling requirements and the institutional capacity & capability building challenges of the blue economic entities will enable concrete exchanges to formulate way forward.
