About the Workshop
The webinar presents a structured framework for transforming fisheries and aquaculture through digital productivity optimization and ecosystem-scale habitat intelligence. It introduces the Area Production and Yield (APY) model to enhance farm-level efficiency without unsustainable coastal expansion, integrating mathematical growth simulations and seaweed-based nutrient management. Complementing this, a Multi-Parameter Biogeochemical and Thermal Habitat Analysis framework is demonstrated using an eastern Arabian Sea pilot domain, integrating net primary productivity, oxygen constraints, nutrient gradients, and species-specific thermal suitability into a composite fisheries advisory index. The initiative addresses habitat compression risks arising from ocean warming and deoxygenation while advancing inclusive, technology-driven Blue Economy growth across tropical coastal systems.
