About the Event
The India-Philippines Maritime Dialogue Webinar, scheduled for February 26, 2025, at 15:30 IST, is a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening maritime cooperation between the two nations through the Underwater Domain Awareness (UDA) Framework.
Both countries share a deep historical relationship, with increasing maritime security collaborations to address challenges in the Indo-Pacific region and the South China Sea. The dialogue will explore defence cooperation, blue economy opportunities, scientific research, and humanitarian assistance, emphasizing sustainable maritime governance.
The event will feature policy experts, academics, and maritime professionals discussing key topics such as India-Philippines defence relations, ocean-dependent communities, and strategic cooperation. The Maritime Research Center (MRC) and NirDhwani Technology (NDT) will highlight technology-driven decision-making frameworks for capacity building and regional security.
The webinar serves as a platform for knowledge-sharing and collaboration, reinforcing India’s engagement in ASEAN maritime security and fostering a rules-based order in the Indo-Pacific.
